File Configuration Settings

Note: You must install the Plumtree Crawler Web Service for NT File System to access this functionality.

At the top of this page, enter the UNC path of the the target folder, folder where this Crawler should begin crawling. For example, \\myComputer\myFolder\mySubfolder.

Levels to Crawl

You can limit the number of folder levels into which this Crawler will crawl into your file system. For example, the maximum number of levels to crawl setting has the following effects:

  • If you select unlimited, the Crawler will crawl all subfolders in the target folder.
  • If you select 0, the Crawler will crawl only the target folder.
  • If you select 1, the Crawler will crawl the target folder and its first level of subfolders.

In this way you can prevent your Crawler from importing unwanted content.

Threads

You can enter the maximum number of threads this Crawler may use.

Increasing the number of threads can make a Crawler faster, but it will slow down other jobs running on the same Job Server.
