Edit Page (Community)

When editing a community page, several actions are available to you:

• Add Portlets. This allows you to add pre-configured portlets to the page.

• Create Portlets. This allows you to create new portlets for your community. These new portlets will not be available outside of the community unless an administrator moves them to a folder where other community managers have access to them.

• Add Content Canvas. This allows you to add a content canvas (a page section that spans multiple columns) if your page template supports it.

• Select Page Layout. This allows you to select your page layout. If the page you are editing is from a page template that dictates the layout, this option is not available.

Using a combination of these actions, you can configure your page within the bounds of the page template you are working from. The page you configure will inherit the header and footer of the community that the page is part of.

• To edit an existing community from within the community:

1. Click My Communities and select the community you want to edit.
2. Open the Community Editor:
• In the My Communities menu, click Edit this Community.

• On the right, click Edit This Community.

3. Under Community Pages, click a page.

• To edit an existing community from Administration:

1. Navigate to the community you want to edit.
2. Click the community name.
3. Click .

4. Under Community Pages, click a page.

• To create a new community:

1. Click Administration.
2. Open an administrative folder.
3. In the Create Object drop-down list, click Community.
4. In the Community Pages section, click Select Community Template.
5. In the Community Templates dialog box, choose a community template and click OK.
6. If this community template does not include a home page, click Create Home Page; then, in the New Page dialog box, choose a page template and click OK.

7. Under Community Pages, click a page.
